Events so far before final date:
On January 13, HBO launched a brand new teaser to get fans even more excited for the eigthed season. The teaser features cryptic promo that takes place in the Crypts of Winterfell. Fans will be glad to see Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) back together for final season.
On February 2, HBO dripped a teaser within a Bud Light ad with a new quotable line: “The Bud Knight had to die.”
On February 6, HBO released the first official photos from GOT season 8. The stills — which show Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Cersei Lannister and others — don’t give much away about the plot, but it’s another indication that the final season premier is getting closer.

When will Games of Thrones Season 8 Premier?

The casting of the final season is still very much unknown. HBO programming president Casey Bloys told Entertainment Weekly that the network has tightened security to avoid and final season leaks and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau even revealed that the scripts for the cast accepted would “self-destruct.”
“They’re very very uncompromising. It’s reached a whole new level this year,” he said during an interview at Cannes 2018.”
